Captain Scott Worth, born and raised on the North Fork of Long Island, has been fishing on the Peconic Bay since he was in diapers. From a long line of local fishing captains, bayman and whalers, he has a love and passion for local waters and the fish that inhabit them. He targets Striped Bass, Bluefish, Weakfish, Fluke and False Albacore in his 18' Hewes on the flats and rips of the local waters with light tackle spinning gear (using soft plastics and topwater plugs) and on the fly. Come enjoy a day on the water chasing trophy fish and enjoying the beauty that the North Fork has to offer. Captain Scott is licensed by the US Coast Guard.
We fish out of a 18 Foot Hewes Bayfisher Flats Boat. She is a fast boat that will get us to the fishing spots quickly and pole the flats quietly. She comfortably allows two people to fish at a time and is ideal for casting spinning or fly rods. Recently the boat has been repowered with a new 115hp Evinrude E-Tec. It's also equipped with a Power Pole to hold us in spots and catch more fish. She'll get us in the shallow flats quietly and get us to the fish!
At North Fork Light Tackle Charters, we encourage safe catch and release fishing methods, especially with the striped bass population under threat. We want to ensure that healthy fish will be in our waters for years to come! Visit our friends at https://saltwaterguidesassociation.com/ and http://fissues.org/ for more information.
