Seasons, Trip Info and Rates

 North Fork Light Tackle Charters services the entire East End of Long Island (North Fork & Hamptons) and can design a trip to best fit your location and preferences.

Late April - June:

We begin the season targeting striped bass in the Peconic Bay. We can find big fish laying in shallow water along shorelines or blitzing on the surface in the bay and rips. We also fish the ocean from Shinnecock to the east for big striped bass making their spring migration.

July - August:
During the summer months, we also focus on the waters around Orient Point, Plum Island, Gardiners Island and Fishers Island, fishing a variety of rips, rocky or sandy shorelines and sandy shoals. We can find bass of all sizes and voracious gator bluefish. Late June and early July is when we start venturing offshore to jig & pop for bluefin tuna!

September - November:
Once fall arrives we focus on partaking in the storied Fall Run in the Long Island Sound, Gardiners Bay, Shinnecock Inlet/Ocean and off Montauk, as schools of false albacore, bonita, striped bass, bluefish and Spanish mackerel feed on small bait fish. Every fisherman has to experience casting to water boiling with feeding fish! We also chase "ghost" bluefin tuna that make their way close to shore chasing a variety of bait.

I provide quality spinning and fly reels, rods and a full assortment of tackle.  If you would like to bring your own, you are more than welcome to. I am very flexible with putting a trip together, so give me a call at 631-521-1640 and we can put together a memorable trip!

• Sunscreen (no aerosol cans please)
• Polarized sunglasses
• Hat / sun-protectant clothing

• I will provide water and ice, but feel free to bring your own food and drinks

Center Console (1-3 Fisherman):

Standard Trip (~6 Hours):  $750

Offshore Tuna:  $1,800

Longer/Shorter duration trips can be discussed between guide and client

Possible fuel surchage for longer trips (i.e., Block Island)
